Overview
ITINERARY:
PM: San Cristóbal: Interpretation Center, Tijeretas Hill, Punta Carola; coastal trails, frigatebirds overhead, and sea lions resting along quiet shores.
AM: San Cristóbal Highlands: El Junco Lagoon, Cerro Colorado Tortoise Center, Puerto Chino; misty highlands, freshwater crater lake, and close encounters with giant tortoises.
PM: La Lobería; calm waters and playful sea lions along a sheltered cove.
AM: Navigation to Floreana Island; open sea crossing toward one of the archipelago’s most remote settlements.
PM: Floreana Highlands (Asilo de la Paz, caves) / Navigation to Isabela Island; humid forest, free-roaming tortoises, and historic caves before continuing west.
AM: Sierra Negra Volcano; expansive caldera landscapes shaped by recent volcanic activity.
PM: Tintoreras Islets; lava channels, marine iguanas, and white-tip reef sharks resting in clear waters.
AM: Navigation to Santa Cruz Island; transition across islands toward the central hub of the archipelago.
PM: Fausto Llerena Center, local family visit; conservation insight and a glimpse into local island life.
AM: Tortuga Bay; white sand, contrasting currents, and coastal wildlife in an open setting.
PM: Las Grietas; a narrow volcanic fissure filled with still, crystalline water.
